Matilde Gaspar

My name is Matilde but you can call me Mati, I'm a Evs volunteer here in Struga, Republic of Macedonia.
I arrived in September 2 and I have project during eight months, so i  will stay here until the end of April.
So far I already traveled in some places in  Macedonia, places like Ohrid, Skopjie, Strumica, Stip, Sushita  and some others villages, went to parties, coffee shops, shopping,hiking and biking tours. Also have been in the waterfalls near to Sushita!  My project it's about to promote rural areas and we already began with the Tsh'Marunishta Village, I'm the photographer of the project.
  In the begging it was a little bit hard because of the cultural shoc but now I'm used to Struga and their friendly people, I was so optimist everyday and every night that it was easy for me to get used to the differences from Portugal.
   Well today it's October eight 2012, I'm here about a month, our evs team is already completed and everyone is friendly and nice (thank god!). I still miss my parents and my friends but it's necessary to make a better world, so I have to start that mission with myself.
For now  I think that this is the year to grow up, to travel, meet nice people, continue practicing my dance lessons (Contemporary Dance), have fun and live like a citizen of the world and until now it was awesome.
